Using the service
By using YidCalendar’s app or optional online services, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use those services. You are responsible for your account credentials and for reviewing reminder dates, times and extracted invitation details before saving.
Calendar and halachic information
Dates, zmanim and learning schedules are planning tools, not a psak, medical advice or emergency service. Customs, locations and opinions differ. Verify information relevant to practical decisions and consult your rabbi when needed. Device permissions, clock settings and third-party services can affect alerts.
SMS service and consent
YidCalendar’s optional SMS program provides verification codes, replies to reminders you text in, and additional reminder messages you choose to enable in supported builds. Opt in through the app by reading its disclosure and requesting a verification code for your own number. Do not enroll someone else without permission. The SMS page describes the actual setup and examples.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. SMS consent is not a condition of purchasing any product or service. Reply STOP to opt out and HELP for help. For assistance, email yidcalendar613@gmail.com. Re-enrollment requires fresh consent.
Twilio and mobile carriers may delay, filter or block messages. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. The dedicated YidCalendar number awaits SMS verification approval. SMS cannot be used for emergencies, marketing, spam, abusive content or other unlawful activity.
Optional online processing
Accounts and sync use Supabase. ChatGPT-assisted scanning, cloud Quick Add and supported natural-language texted reminder parsing use OpenAI through the service. SMS uses Twilio. Availability depends on the providers and your app build. Review the privacy policy before using these optional features.
Premium and purchases
Any price, trial or subscription conditions are shown before purchase. Purchases and subscription management are handled by the relevant app store. Some features require Premium. Refunds follow store policies and applicable law. The iOS app is also subject to Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse accounts, bypass consent or access controls, send spam, interfere with the service or use it unlawfully. You remain responsible for the content you submit and for obtaining permission to process content belonging to others.
Availability and responsibility
We may change or suspend services to maintain the app, comply with law or address abuse. Features and notifications are provided without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability or delivery. To the extent allowed by law, we are not liable for losses caused by missed alerts, inaccurate user input or third-party outages. These terms do not limit rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
